In the infantry battalions of the 2nd Army Brigade, additional training of professional soldiers who have been appointed to these units in the recent period is underway.

Young soldiers are now being trained within the peacetime locations to perform initial roles at their appointments and are acquiring knowledge and skills needed to use effectively critical weapons and perform tactical and fire missions on the battlefield.

In accordance with the training plan, they have previously mastered individual training successfully, and, at this stage, they are practicing the tactics and procedures on the battlefield in their squads. The focus is on joint tactical drills needed to conduct anti-infantry and anti-tank operations.

Modern weapons and military equipment the infantry units of the Serbian Armed Forces have recently been equipped with are used during the training — “Lazar 3” armored combat vehicles, assets for direct fire support, observation and data gathering, and a wide range of small arms — improving  significantly firepower, maneuverability and force protection.

Additional training is a mandatory training segment that all professional soldiers undergo upon arrival at the Serbian Armed Forces’ units, and its implementation ensures that they quickly reach the required standards of psychophysical, fire and tactical skills and are ready to carry out the tasks on the battlefield, independently and as crew or team members.
