In the “Mija Stanimirović“ barracks in Niš, training of newly recruited professional solders in the Mixed artillery brigade units is under way, enabling them to perform their initial military post duties.

Soldiers posted as crew members on howitzer M-84 152 mm “Nora” are practicing preparing the arms for firing, transition from the marching into the combat position and taking an artillery firing position.

Training for handling the automated firing system is conducted on self-propelled gun howitzer 155 mm “Nora” B-52. Observing officers are being trained for timely detection of the most important targets, while fire direction officers are being enabled for quick and efficient firing calculation using the software.

The mixed artillery brigade is aimed to provide fire support to the Army units by long range firing at the targets of tactical, operational and strategic level. Acquisition of self propelled gun-howitzer 155 mm “Nora” B-52 M-15 has significantly improved firing capabilities of these units, and in that way provided the Army with a reliable, fast and accurate artillery support during the combat operations.
