Visit of the Hungarian Defence Forces Commander to the Republic of Serbia

At the invitation of the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of the General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces, Lieutenant General Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

General Ruszin-Szendi visited the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff today, where he discussed the current political and security situation in the region with General Mojsilović, as well as the possibilities for further improvement of bilateral cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Hungarian Defence Forces.

Assessing that the cooperation between the two militaries was intensive and meaningful, it was pointed out that it was based on friendly and good neighborly relations and characterized by constant quantitative and qualitative improvement, primarily in the field of training and exercises, whose implementation significantly improves interoperability and combat readiness.

The importance of Hungarian participation in KFOR was also emphasized, headed by  Major General Ferenc Kajári since mid-October, for preserving the peace and security of the entire population in Kosovo and Metohija and protecting the Serbian cultural, historical and religious heritage.

During his stay in Serbia, the Commander of the Hungarian Defence Forces will also visit the Ministry of Defense and the 72nd Special Operations Brigade.
