Training with Radar Systems in 126th ASEWG Brigade

At the radar positions of the 126th ASEWG Brigade, intensive training of the unit’s professional staff is being carried out for the execution of airspace surveillance and control tasks.
The training is carried out as part of the daily activities of the unit in the deployment areas and through additional training of younger brigade members.
The training includes theoretical contents on the principles of operation of surveillance radars, tactical drills with the simulation of various airspace threat scenarios, as well as practical work on the maintenance of radar-computer equipment. The monitoring and evaluation of the competence of operators while applying the procedures in the collection, processing and distribution of radar observation data and of technical staff for maintaining of the system hardware and software is also carried out.
A large number of complex tasks and activities, as well as the necessary coordinated work of all elements in the air observation, reporting and guidance system, in a situation where reaction speed and accuracy are crucial, require maximum training and concentration.
Training is a very important task and is carried out daily in order to preserve and improve the abilities of individuals and units necessary for effective control of the airspace of the Republic of Serbia, guidance of combat aviation for fighter purposes and providing navigational assistance to aircraft in an emergency.
