Thursday, 11.9.2025 | Multinational Operations
At the “South” Base near Bujanovac, an international course for UN military observers organized by the Serbian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Operations Center is underway.
The aim of the three-week course is to train officers to work as military observers in UN peacekeeping operations, in accordance with current standards and procedures.
The training program is focused on the work of military observers in integrated missions of this international organization, with practical field work and instructors passing on rich experience from peacekeeping operations.
The course is attended by ten officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and nine members of foreign armed forces, and is delivered by the Peacekeeping Operations Center, including the participation of instructors from partner training centers from Austria, Greece, Hungary and Germany.
The course is significant for the overall system of training the Serbian Armed Forces members to participate in multinational operations, as well as to improve the ability to plan, organize and conduct national and international courses at the Peacekeeping Operations Center.
Since 2017, our center has been certified for conducting this course by the United Nations Integrated Training Service. The constant and wide international interest in the course is a confirmation of the high-quality training and preparation the Serbian Armed Forces conduct for the engagement in peacekeeping operations.
