Members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, with the support of the 98th Air Force Brigade’s helicopter squadron, conducted training in descending from a helicopter down the rope at the Colonel Pilot Milenko Pavlović Military Airfield in Batajnica.

This training is only a segment of complex drills that special operations teams and new unit members carry out so that they could conduct special actions and operations of special importance and perform specific tasks in all terrain, weather and combat conditions.

As an instructor in the 72nd Special Operations Brigade has explained, the unit is undergoing complex and high-risk training.

— Today, you are attending the training of a special operations team while landing from the H-145M aircraft using the rappelling technique. What is important when landing with the rappelling technique is the connection between the special operations team and the air force and air defense team, i.e. with the technicians, the pilot, but also the chief training instructor and the one in charge. This is a complex and high-risk training, our members practice undertaking properly the actions and procedures needed to descend down the rope - the instructor said.

One of the members, willing apply to the competition for admission to the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, is motivated by his love for the motherland, respect for traditional values and desire to prove his worth.

— We do different kinds of training, such as summer and winter training, tactical and firearms training, training in skiing and diving. In our unit, teamwork is very important because we depend on each other, so, the level of cohesion in the team must be high. Support from the colleagues in the unit is also very important, primarily because we spend much of the day at work, but we are on very good terms outside work as well. In fact, every member of our Brigade should possess the qualities such as love for the motherland and cherishing family traditions and values — said this member of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade, inviting young people to apply to the current competition for admission to that unit and join the ranks of the chosen ones.
