608th Logistic Base
608th Logistic Base is the largest logistic unit in the Serbian Armed Forces. Its basic purpose is to perform tasks related to the provision of the basic materiel and spare parts, weapons and fuel, as well as the quartermaster, medical and veterinary materiel.

608th Logistic Base is directly responsible for the logistic support of some units and establishments in the Belgrade garrison.
The base consists of HQ, HQ Company, Logistic Centre and three logistic battalions.
The Commander of the 608th Logistic Base is Brigadier General Ivan Krulj.
Tasks of the 608th Logistic Base
608th Logistic Base is tasked with:
- Supply basic material and spare parts, weapons and fuel, quartermaster material
- Maintain special equipment, ammunition and missile assets, propulsion equipment and installations
- Logistic support to some units and establishments in the Belgrade garrison
Background of the 608th Logistic Base
608th Logistic Base continues the tradition of the 608th Rear Base, whose roots date back to 1953 when the Import Acquisition Base was established in Zagreb. To adapt its structure to the former Yugoslav People's Army, it was reorganized as the Acquisition Base in November 1961. On November 20, 1961, it was restructured into the Acquisition Base with the HQ in Pančevo.
Since 1987, it has existed as the Technical Supplies Base of the Federal Ministry of National Defence. Finally, on November 16, 1992, the 608th Rear Base of the General Staff, Armed Forces of Yugoslavia, was established to store and echelon strategic reserves .
The Central Logistic Base was established on December 15, 2006, combining all storage capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces. As of January 27, 2025, the unit's official name is the 608th Logistic Base.
The Day of the 608th Logistic Base is 16th November, when 608th Rear Base was established.
