As part of the preparations of members of the Serbian Armed Forces for deployment in the United Nations peacekeeping operation in Lebanon, a three-week additional training for driving armored combat vehicles was carried out at the training grounds of the Army Training Centrе in Požarevac.

The training was attended by specially selected professional soldiers with significant previous driving experience, who will be deployed as drivers of armored combat vehicles in this peacekeeping operation. The aim of the training is to refresh the knowledge and skills for the safe and secure operation of combat vehicles during the implementation of tasks in the area of operation, as well as for their maintenance and elimination of possible malfunctions.

In accordance with the additional training program, the soldiers first carried out theoretical training on the characteristics of vehicles, special systems and devices and their specificities, and then trained on the training ground for precise driving on different terrains, overcoming obstacles, driving on slopes and driving at night and in difficult weather conditions.

At the end of the training, a driver's test and a training evaluation were carried out, and the results achieved confirmed the excellent skills of the soldiers. The knowledge and skills acquired at the Army Training Centrе will continue to improve during the collective training of the infantry company for deployment in the United Nations peacekeeping operation in Lebanon, in order to be fully prepared for the implementation of all the tasks that can be expected in the area of operation.
