Visit from Adjutant General of Ohio National Guard

At the invitation of the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, the Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard, Major General John Harris, is on an official visit to the Republic of Serbia.

General Harris visited today the General Staff of the Serbian Armed Forces, where he discussed the current security situation in the region with General Mojsilović and the possibilities for further improvement of bilateral military cooperation. 

During their talks, it was pointed out that the collaboration between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard that was established 16 years ago within the state partnership between Serbia and the US, is developed and fruitful and is characterized by constant qualitative improvement. With the assessment that successful joint cooperation contributes to the development of trust and friendly relations, its importance for reaching interoperability and improving the level of operational capabilities of the Armed Forces of the two countries has been particularly emphasized.

General Harris was received today by the Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and the President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, and on that occasion he was presented with Order of the Serbian Flag, the 2nd class, for special merits in developing and strengthening peaceful cooperation and the overall friendly relations between Serbia and the US.

In the continuation of his visit, the Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard will have meetings in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and will participate in the opening of the "Day of America in Belgrade" Conference in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia.
