In the area of Fruška Gora, on the Danube River and on its bank, a night exercise of members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade was carried out, with the execution of offensive actions against critical infrastructure deep within enemy lines.

Members of the unit practiced planning and carrying out offensive tasks in restricted visibility, relying on mutual coordination and precise synchronization of movements on the water and the bank. Exercise activities included stealthy movement at night, overcoming natural and artificial obstacles, as well as performing tasks in conditions that simulate a real combat environment.

During the exercise, the instructors and commanders checked and evaluated the skills of the combat teams in working in specific conditions prevailing on the river at night, and the results confirm that members of the unit have reached a high level of psychophysical, firearms and tactical skills and that they have team spirit and are ready for all tasks.

Night exercises on the river represent an important segment of the complex six-month training for river offensive units, during which participants are trained to carry out offensive actions, counter-offensive and counter-terrorist actions and collect intelligence data on the land, water and underwater.

The river offensive units of the Serbian Armed Forces are versatile fighters trained to carry out the most complex tasks, both on their own and on enemy-controlled territory. Their superior training is a prerequisite for the successful execution of special operations in all hydrometeorological and tactical conditions, so that they could undergo complex and demanding training throughout the year.
