Participation of the Serbian Armed Forces Infantry Company in the Exercise in Germany

Infantry company from the Fourth Army Brigade is participating in the international exercise „Saber Junction 21“, which is held from September 3 to 29 at the multinational training center „Hohenfels“ in the Federal Republic of Germany.

The exercise was organized by the European and African Command of the United States Armed Forces, and this year, in addition to the United States and Serbia, members of the armed forces of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Great Britain, Hungary, Moldova, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Northern Macedonia, Ukraine and France are also participating.

The aim of the exercise is to develop interoperability and mutual understanding between the land forces of partner countries during peace support operations, and during a several-week stay at the training ground in FR Germany, tactics, techniques and procedures used in offensive and defensive operations at the tactical level and urban combat are practiced.

This is the fourth participation of the Serbian Armed Forces units in the exercises from the „Saber Junction“ series. The Serbian Armed Forces took part in the „Saber Junction“ exercise for the first time in 2012, with one infantry platoon, and since 2016, one infantry company from the Army has been participating in this exercise.
