Monday, 25.5.2026 | Training
The Signal Brigade units conducted mobile camp at several locations in the Republic of Serbia with the aim of improving further collective skills in the implementation of specific tasks in the Serbian Armed Forces operations.
The camp was attended by professional staff and soldiers on voluntary military service of the December 2025 intake trained in this unit to work at a radio station, a radio relay center and a mobile switching system.
The training focuses on setting up mobile telecommunication centers at command posts, as well as establishing and maintaining various types of signals, along with the implementation of other field activities that take the unit out of its comfort zone.
The commander of the signal company, Major Bojan Popović, has pointed out that tactical exercises are carried out as part of the mobile camp.
— The training contents during the exercise include the installation of elements of telecommunications stations, mobile telecommunications and information centers and the establishment of telecommunications security for the needs of users at command posts. The goal of mobile camp is to train command members for proper task planning and commanding directly subordinate units, and for commanders, professional soldiers and soldiers on voluntary military service — to improve individual and collective skills in carrying out assigned missions and tasks in all weather and terrain conditions, day and night — said Major Popović.
The Signal Brigade is a Serbian Armed Forces unit directly subordinated to the Telecommunications and IT Directorate (J-6) of the General Staff and is intended to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of the telecommunications and IT system of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces. In the recent period, the unit has been equipped with the latest generation telecommunications devices.
