SAF Personnel Training in USA
Wednesday, 22.7.2026 | Training
Serbian Armed Forces troops are taking part in a training programme hosted by the Ohio National Guard at Camp Grayling Military Installation ranges in Michigan, USA.
Ohio National Guard units, a company from the Hungarian Defence Forces, and staff officers from the Serbian Armed Forces’ 1st Army Brigade are taking part in the training.
The focus of the two-week training activity is to assess and enhance the capability of command personnel and staff to make plans and military decisions and to command forces in operations. Manoeuvre units have been practising battlefield tactics, actions on contact, coordination of fire and other support, and medical evacuation.
During the training, Serbian Armed Forces personnel have been integrated with the Ohio National Guard’s armoured reconnaissance battalion squads. They are using their personal equipment, while weapons, ammunition, and exercise ordnance have been provided by the host.
The Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard have maintained successful cooperation through the Ohio-Serbia State Partnership Programme for two decades now. Joint training is just one of many different cooperation areas that help enhance armed forces’ capabilities and contribute to the development of overall relations between the Republic of Serbia and the United States of America.
