Day of 1st Army Brigade Marked

A military ceremony has been held at the “Jugovićevo” Barracks in Novi Sad today on the occasion of the Day of the 1st Army Brigade, which is marked in memory of November 09, 1918, when the Serbian army liberated Novi Sad.
On the occasion of the holiday, in front of the ceremonial uniform of the Brigade members, key achievements in building operational capabilities were presented and awards handed to the most successful individuals and units.
It has been pointed out that the unit completed all assigned tasks in the year behind, that a step forward was made in equipping it with modern and modernized combat equipment, and that the Brigade members are characterized by professionalism, competence and high morale.
The ceremony was attended by Army Commander, Major General Zoran Nasković, representatives of units of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces, the Serbian Orthodox Church, local government bodies and institutions with which the brigade cooperates, including numerous guests.
The 1st Army Brigade consists of a command and 11 battalion-level units. The command is located in Novi Sad, and units are stationed in Bačka Topola, Zrenjanin, Loznica, Novi Sad, Pančevo and Sremska Mitrovica.
