Elite Training and Readiness for Most Complex Tasks
Friday, 7.2.2025 | Training
Members of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade undergo various training every day at their peacetime location and outside the area where they are based to improve their skills and maintain the unit’s high combat readiness.
This tactical formation is organized on a modular basis and is intended and trained to carry out special operations, raids, counter-raids, counter-insurgency and counter-terrorist actions, reconnaissance, and intelligence gathering, primarily in the enemy lines at tactical and operational depth.
This week, at several locations outside the area where they are based, in different relief and microclimatic conditions, the Special Operations Battalion’s Combat Teams have undergone training. It is a regular activity intended for the unit members to become familiar with the terrain and prepare for the conduct of special operations, in addition to improving their skills.
The tactics and actions of reconnaissance-offensive groups in difficult-supply conditions, collection of intelligence data through special reconnaissance, surprise raids, and tactical use of drones in special force operations have been practiced on the ground.
During multi-day tactical drills, combat teams have been checked and evaluated on their skills, the results confirming that even the latest-admitted members of the unit have acquired high psychophysical, firearms and tactical skills, and that they, like their more experienced colleagues, possess strong morale and readiness even for the most complex tasks.
