Visit to Members of 98th Air Force Brigade

Today, accompanied by Air Force and Air Defense Commander Lieutenant General Duško Žarković and Chief of the Operations Directorate (J-3) of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Major General Gordan Pavlović, Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić has visited members of the 98th Air Force Brigade at the military airfields “Sergeant-Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” in Niš and “Morava” near Kraljevo.
Commander of the 98th Air Force Brigade, Colonel Dragan Mrdak, reported on the situation in the unit and the planned tasks in the coming period; on this occasion, the Minister of Defense spoke with the Brigade members about further improvement of their living and working conditions and their living standards.
Minister Gašić has expressed his satisfaction with the situation in the unit, stressing that the investments in the weapons and military equipment in the Air Force and Air Defense, as well as in the 98th Air Force Brigade, yielded visible results in previous years.
— I am satisfied that the 98th Air Force Brigade has also been equipped with modern aircraft and that further acquisitions and modernization will continue. I saw that its members were exceptionally trained and ready to perform all intended tasks. We will continue to make efforts to provide members of this Brigade with even better living and working conditions, which will attract as many young people as possible to join us - said Minister Gašić, adding that care for the people will be one of the most important tasks of the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces in the period to come.
