Oath-Taking Ceremony

The June 2025 class of military service volunteers and candidates for admission to professional military service as professional soldiers took the oath today at a ceremony held on that occasion at the Field Marshal Živojin Mišić Barracks in Valjevo.
While pronouncing the oath in front of the flag of the Republic of Serbia, they have pledged to preserve and defend the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Serbia.
The ceremony was attended by Minister of Defence Bratislav Gašić and the Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and Serbian Armed Forces organizational units, local self-government and Serbian Orthodox Church, as well as relatives and friends of young boys and girls, who have taken the oath today.
The youngest soldiers now await the continuation of basic training and, then specialist training for the duties for which they were recruited, while candidates for professional military service should undergo military training, upon completion of which they will begin their military career in the tank, mechanized and artillery units of the Serbian Armed Forces.
