The Day of the 2nd Army Brigade — July 12, was marked today in the "Ribnica" barracks in Kraljevo.
On the occasion of the holiday, congratulatory notes were read in front of the ceremonial line of the Brigade members and awards were given to the best individuals. In addition to cutting the ritual bread and holding the holy liturgy in the worship space, the Slava of the unit — the Day of the Holy Apostles Peter and Paul was also marked.
The Day of the 2nd Army Brigade is marked in memory of July 12, 1805, when the leader of the First Serbian Uprising, Đorđe Petrović Karađorđe, with 6,000 insurgents, won the victory over the Turks in the liberation of Karanovac at that time, today the city of Kraljevo.
