REPUBLIC OF SERBIA
PRESIDENT
C O N G R A T U L A T O R Y M E S S A G E
I wish to congratulate all officers, NCOs, soldiers and civilians employed by the Serbian Armed Forces on the St. Patron’s Day of the Serbian Armed Forces, St. Despot Stefan, the Tall!
Today, when the Serbian Armed Forces celebrate their heavenly protector, we proudly remember the powerful state leader, military leader and knight who, with his deeds, laid the foundations for the Serbian state and spirituality our people. His life and his feat testify to the fact that faith in God and love for the fatherland represent the most sublime pledge a soldier can make.
The Serbian Armed Forces are continuing the tradition that Despot Stefan established through his personal example – connecting always courage and chivalry with wisdom, justice and spiritual force. His deeds and his faith remain permanent guidelines to all generations at the service of Serbia.
The St. Patron’s Day of the Serbian Armed Forces is the day of spiritual rise and unity. It reminds us that the military profession is more than a duty; it is actually a call of honor, a pledge of loyalty and the symbol of the force of a people who knows how to preserve their freedom. May St. Despot Stefan be the protector of all our soldiers, their families and entire Serbia!
I wish to congratulate all members of the Serbian Armed Forces on their St. Patron’s Day. May they be blessed, wise and strong enough to continue to serve the people and the state with the same vigor and dignity that our glorious ancestors had!
Long live the Serbian Armed Forces!
Long live Serbia!
PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC
Aleksandar Vučić
