Within the 250th Air Defence Missile Brigade, members of a battalion equipped with the HQ-17AE missile system are conducting intensive training at their peacetime locations, focusing on the combat employment of the system and the execution of the assigned tasks.
The training is conducted with the aim of acquiring new knowledge and skills. It is an ongoing process designed to ensure that individuals, crews, and units are highly proficient and trained.
During training, combat crews carry out a wide range of tasks, enhancing the level of the collective proficiency in the efficient and rapid preparation and execution of march, occupation of a firing position, surveillance, detection, tracking, and engagement of aerial targets. They also practice reloading missile modules in accordance with the set standards.
The HQ-17AE missile system is intended to provide air defence for small military installations, administrative, political and economic facilities, the Serbian Armed Forces units, and designated areas against aerial reconnaissance and attacks from very low and low altitudes. The introduction of this contemporary missile system into operational use and its integration into the air defence system represents an important step towards providing multi-layered protection of the territory of our country.
