The AD artillery-missile battalions of the Army brigades are conducting intensive combat training with the modernized anti-aircraft system 40mm "Bofors".

In line with the training program and prescribed standards, crews of this system are learning how to perform a wide variety of tasks required for protecting the Army units on combat operations and defending important facilities and installations from aerial attacks.

The focus is kept on refining the tactics and procedures in countering UAVs attack helicopters, cruise missiles, low-flying aircraft and while engaging ground targets.

Modernization of the 40mm "Bofors" anti-aircraft system has significantly improved the protection of the crews, mobility and speed of preparation for delivering fire, that is, the overall maneuver and fire capabilities of the SAF AD artillery-missile units for rapid and efficient execution of intended tasks on offensive and defensive operations.
