CBRN Units Train for Deployment in Multinational Operations

Two platoons from the 246th CBRN Battalion are undergoing their collective training at “Car Lazar” Barracks and “Ravnjak” Military Complex in Kruševac. They have been declared for deployment in multinational operations according to the Operational Capabilities Concept. 

There have been comprehensive preparations and training activities for completing tasks in international environment so that these units could attain the required level of interoperability and combat readiness.

In this period, the focus is on tactical rehearsals for executing collective assignments including CBRN protection, patrolling, setting up checkpoints, protection of forces and facilities and casualty evacuation.

After they complete this training phase, declared platoons are to conduct tactical exercises at “Borovac” Training Ground and “South” Base to check their abilities for deployment in multinational operations.

The Operational Capabilities Concept is a form of cooperation within the Partnership for Peace Program whose application leads to SAF reaching the interoperability standards and developing operational capabilities of the units declared for deployment in multinational operations.
