Practice of Special Air-to-Ground Actions and Anti-Armour Warfare

At "Pasuljanske Livade" Training Ground, SAF special operations forces are practicing the engagement of ground targets from the airspace in interoperability with AF and AD helicopter units.

The activities, embedded in Joint Exercise "Maneuvers 2022", aim to maintain and upgrade skills of the 72nd Special Operations Brigade and 63rd Parachute Brigade needed to perform specific tasks assigned potentially to these units. 

During the exercise, the special units’ combat teams are executing tactical missions and scenarios on the move, practicing day/night helicopter landing and the following combat actions, to include live firing with the use of personal and collective weapons.

Concurrently, at SAF permanent and temporary training grounds, the forces that have moved to an active phase of Joint Exercise "Maneuvers 2022" are continuing with their tactical drills and live firing. Members of the 1st Army Brigade involved in the contents of anti-armor warfare at "Orešac" Training Ground near Vršac have been visited today by Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović.

Chief of the General Staff has taken the opportunity to express satisfaction with both professional and reserve personnel’s attitude toward the assignments and high motivation, stressing that only soldiers and officers who are ultimately committed, perfectly skilled and prepared could perform any task assigned to them by the state and military leadership, ensuring the peace and security of the citizens of the Republic of Serbia.
