Tuesday, 17.5.2022 | Training
The 4th Army Brigade’s Command and some of its units conducted Command and Staff Exercise “Spring 22” on multiple locations in Vranje and its vicinity where the Army Brigade practiced operations planning and execution.
The aim of the exercise was to increase the abilities of the Brigade’s Command for operations planning and application of standard operating procedures and commanding the forces on operation.
The many-day field activities saw the members of the unit completing specific tasks according to the given scenarios, from the prompt and organized taking up of the command post following an alert signal, employment of the Command and its directly subordinate units in line with functional responsibilities, down to efficient implementation of the decisions made.
The exercise was a way to examine and improve the competences of some of the 4th Army Brigade units for performing combat missions. This was another opportunity for its professional members to show that they were highly trained, professional and motivated.
Command and staff exercises represent an important form of practical training of SAF Command units. They aim to improve the skills required for proper and timely use of forces on operation in all conditions. They are carried out on a regular basis according to the training plans in order to maintain a high-level combat readiness.
