Military international logistics exercise in Slovakia

In the organization of the Multinational Logistics Coordination Center (MLCC) from Prague - Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia, as the host country, an international logistics military exercise called "Capable logistician in 2013" is currently being realized.

In the organization of the Multinational Logistics Coordination Center (MLCC) from Prague - Czech Republic and the Ministry of Defence of Slovakia, as the host country, an international logistics military exercise called "Capable logistician in 2013" is currently being realized. A seven-member working group of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces is taking part in the exercise at the ground Lest in Slovakia.

Opening Ceremony of the exercise was held on Sunday 16th June, in the presence of numerous guests, and participants of the exercise. The host of the ceremony was Czech colonel Miroslav Pelikan, Director of MLCC and also a director of the exercise, the opening ceremony being attended by Brigadier General Yuray Kristofovic, chief of staff for operations support in the Slovakian GS.

Some 1,500 participants from 28 countries and 14 organizations of NATO and Partnership for Peace (PfP) program are participating in the exercise.

Members of the MoD work team and the exercises are inpart of  various functional logistic areas such as Group for Joint Logistics Support (JLSG) Ammunition (AMMO), Maintenance and Repair (M & R), Section for Reception and Sustainability of Forces (RSOM) Movement Control (MovCon), on positions of observers, staff officers and software operators in a program toolsfor logistics planning, and forces deployment (LOGFAS).

The most important result of the participation of the MOD working group MoD in the exercise "Capable Logistician 2013" is gaining valuable experience working in a multinational environment for achieving interoperability, understanding of multinational staff HQ in the preparation and implementation of practice as well as understanding the process of planning and organizing such a complex international military logistics exercise.
