Celebration of Day of Telecommunications Service and Signal Brigade

The Day of the Telecommunications Service and the Day of the Signal Brigade have been marked today in garrisons and garrison places of the Serbian Armed Forces, in memory of September 20, 1916, when the Decree on Military Telegraph was passed, which laid the foundations for the organization of signals in the Serbian Army.
On the occasion of the holiday, the most important results in raising the capabilities of the Telecommunications Service of the Serbian Armed Forces were summarized, awards were presented to the most successful individuals and wreaths laid at the memorial in the “Banjica” Barracks in Belgrade dedicated to the fallen members of the signal units.
While outlining the results achieved in the year behind us, it has been concluded that members of the Telecommunications Service successfully implemented all assigned tasks and ensured the efficient functioning of the telecommunications and IT security in the Ministry of Defense and Serbian Armed Forces. In this way, a positive impact on the overall capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces was achieved in terms of improving the ability to command, shortening the time for making and conveying decisions, and planning and conducting operations efficiently.
It has been stated that a big step forward in equipping the signal units with modern telecommunication equipment will be visible tomorrow at the “Power of Unity” Military Parade.
