Training Activities of MP Detachment “Cobras”

Today, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has visited members of the Special Purpose MP Detachment “Cobras” who are conducting regular intensive training activities at the Peskovi Training Ground.

In the area of this location, the unit members, including professional soldiers admitted at the end of last year, are practicing actions and procedures of MP platoons in searching the terrain, with the execution of live fire.

The training implies using modern weapons and combat equipment, optronics, unmanned aircraft, drone jamming equipment and MWDs for discovering explosives and dangerous substances.

General Mojsilović and his colleagues followed the execution of a tactical live-fire exercise where the unit members demonstrated their skills in applying tactical and fire procedures during reconnaissance, searching the terrain, emplacing a narrow line of blockade and neutralizing an intruding sabotage-terrorist group.

At the end of the exercise, the Chief of the General Staff congratulated the members of the Detachment on their successful fire and tactical work and commended the use of modern equipment in the training process and skills of the professional staff while using them during the execution of the task. He also expressed his satisfaction with the quality of MP training of soldiers who were admitted to the unit under Project 5000, emphasizing that the level of their professional-specialist skills indicates that they will reach the highest standards required from this Serbian Armed Forces unit very soon.
