Monday, 19.1.2026 | Training
At the Serbian Armed Forces training centers in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac, basic individual skills of soldiers who started their military service in early December last year have been evaluated.
The goal was to determine the level of skills in undertaking independently the tactics and procedures on the battlefield, handling personal weapons and military equipment, as well as performing guard and duty officer roles.
This check comes after the initial phase of the first training period, during which soldiers of the December class went through basic contents of individual tactical training, learned to handle properly personal weapons, performed their first firing activities and met successfully the required physical fitness standards.
The achieved results show that the soldiers have fully mastered the planned contents, which ended successfully the first phase of basic individual training.
For the rest of their military service, soldiers will be trained at specialized training centers in using their branch/service-specific weapons and military equipment, after which they will undergo collective training in the Serbian Armed Forces’ units.
Soldiers who are interested in joining professional military service have the opportunity to apply for it now, go through the prescribed procedure in a timely manner and meet the requirements to join the ranks of professional members of the Serbian Armed Forces immediately after completing their military service.
