Training of Instructors in Humanitarian Demining

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces who successfully completed the first cycle of training for the unexploded ordnance disposal according to international standards received the titles of first-level training instructors in the field of humanitarian demining.

The training was carried out last year and this year in cooperation with the European Command of the Armed Forces of the United States of America as part of the "Humanitarian demining" project, and was successfully attended by members of the demining and unexploded ordnance disposal platoon from the 310th Engineering Battalion of the 3rd Army Brigade and Air Force and Air Defence pyrotechnicians.

The certification and training of the Serbian Armed Forces members was carried out by instructors from the US Armed Forces European Command, and this activity represents a continuation of successful cooperation and contributes to the further improvement of the capacities of the Serbian Armed Forces for the disposal and destruction of unexploded ordnance.

Members of the Serbian Armed Forces who have earned the title of training instructor will continue their further training within the "Humanitarian demining" project in order to master additional knowledge and skills and acquire the highest level of competence in this field.

The certificate presentation ceremony, held yesterday at the "Ratko Pavlović Ćićko" barracks in Prokuplje, was attended by representatives of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff and the US Office of Defence Cooperation in Belgrade.
