Day of Serbian Armed Forces’ Armored Units

The Day of the Armored Units is celebrated in the Serbian Armed Forces today, in memory of October 31, 1941, when the revolutionaries used tanks for the first time in the battles for the liberation of Kraljevo.
On this occasion, appropriate military ceremonies were organized in the tank and mechanized battalions of our armed forces, where the work results in the year behind were summarized and most successful individuals handed awards and recognitions.
The holiday celebration was an opportunity to highlight the achievements in the development of capabilities and combat capabilities of the branch, with the application of experience from modern armed conflicts, which could be seen at the recently held “Power of Unity 2025” Military Parade.
The armored units represent the basic maneuver force of the Army and Serbian Armed Forces for conducting operations, and their engagement determines the focus during the attack and defense. They are equipped with the most powerful and most useful systems of the Army (tanks and IFVs), which ensures their leading role and importance in combat operations.
