I extend my congratulations to all members of the Guard on 6 May — Unit Day.

Continuing the rich and glorious tradition of the Serbian Guard, spanning almost two centuries, you perform your duties with exceptional dedication and commitment. Through your engagement in carrying out the most responsible tasks, members of the Guard demonstrate a high level of training, discipline and operational capability every day. The results you achieve, often under the most complex conditions, unequivocally confirm that the Guard rightly holds a special place within the defense system of the Republic of Serbia. Your achievements have been recognized through numerous awards and decorations, as well as through the trust placed in you, thereby proving that only the finest units of the Serbian Armed Forces can be the bearers of the highest state decorations.
 
Aware of the significance and role of the Guard, the state continues to invest in its strengthening through the continuous provision of modern assets and equipment, the improvement of working conditions and the living standards of members of the Guard, as well as through the intensive conduct of training and exercises aimed at further enhancing the unit’s operational capabilities and readiness.
 
I wish today’s occasion and your Patron Saint’s Day to serve as an incentive for your further professional development, confident that in the future you will continue to carry out assigned tasks with the same sense of responsibility, develop the operational capabilities of your unit, and continue to contribute to the successful creation of a modern and functional Armed Forces, because a strong Guard safeguards the reputation not only of the Serbian Armed Forces, but of the entire state.
