The Adjutant General of Ohio National Guard Visiting Serbia

At the invitation of Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, the new Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard, Brigadier General Matthew S. Woodruff, is on his first official visit to the Republic of Serbia.
General Woodruff began his stay in Serbia by visiting the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, where he discussed with General Mojsilović the current security situation in the region and the world, as well as the priorities and prospects for cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Ohio National Guard.
With reference to the results of joint activities, which have been taking place within the framework of the State Partnership Program for almost two decades, it has been assessed that they are intensive and comprehensive and that they serve to raise the level of operational capabilities of the armed forces and strengthen the overall relations between Serbia and the United States of America.
Determination to continue the cooperation in all areas of mutual interest was confirmed, primarily in the field of training and exercises and the development of capabilities of the Air Force, engineering units and cyber defense forces.
As for the rest of the visit, General Woodruff will be received by Supreme Commander of the Serbian Armed Forces and President of the Republic, Aleksandar Vučić, while separate meetings are also planned with Minister of Defense Bratislav Gašić and Minister of Foreign Affairs Marko Đurić.
During his stay in Serbia, the Adjutant General of the Ohio National Guard will attend the celebration of the Day of America in the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia, the ceremony on the occasion of the 81st anniversary of the Halyard Mission in the village of Pranjani near Gornji Milanovac, as well as the “Power of Unity” Military Parade.
