Military Holidays Marked

Military ceremonies have been held in the Serbian Armed Forces today to mark the Day of the 3rd Army Brigade and the Day of the 3rd Training Center.
The Day of the 3rd Army Brigade was celebrated in Niš, and is marked in memory of October 07, 1912, when the 2nd Infantry Regiment, (1st line), of the Morava Division “Knjaz Mihailo”, better known as the “Iron Regiment”, entered the First Balkan War.
On the occasion of the holiday, in front of the ceremonial formation of the brigade members, the most important achievements in building operational capabilities were presented and awards handed to the most successful individuals and units.
The holiday celebration was an opportunity to highlight further progress in equipping and modernizing combat assets, as well as professionalism, skills and commitment of the Brigade members in the implementation of all assigned tasks, confirmed at the recently held “Power of Unity” military parade, which contributed to strengthening further the operational capabilities of the Army and citizen safety in this part of our country.
Members of the 3rd Training Center have also celebrated their holiday today, in memory of October 07, 1918, when the Serbian army liberated Leskovac. At the military ceremony held on that occasion at the “Field Marshal Petar Bojović” Barracks in Leskovac, recognitions were awarded to the most successful individuals, with the highlight on the work results of the unit, which completed all tasks successfully in the year behind, and, above all, the individual basic skills of permanent and reserve members of the Serbian Armed Forces.
As part of the holiday celebrations, the “Open Day” Campaign and tactical-technical display of weapons and military equipment were organized, visited by many citizens and primary and secondary school students, and, this evening, a ceremonial academy will be held at the Leskovac National Theater on the occasion of the Day of this Training Command unit.
