The Serbian Armed Forces members deployed to the European Union missions in Somalia and the Central African Republic have handed over to the commanders of these missions the medical equipment donated by the Republic of Serbia to help the fight against Covid-19.

The donation was carried out in accordance with the administrative arrangement between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Serbia and the European Union mechanism for managing the financing of common costs of the EU military operations.

The mission commanders thanked the Republic of Serbia for the donation of personal protective equipment, which will be very useful, bearing in mind that the epidemiological situation in these countries is deteriorating day by day.

The Serbian Armed Forces medical team and a staff officer are currently engaged in the EU mission for the training of Somali security forces (EUTM Somalia) whereas the Serbian Armed Forces medical team and our doctor as a medical adviser to the mission commander are currently engaged in the EU mission for the training of the security forces of the Central African Republic (EUTM RCA).
