Remotely Piloted Aircraft Integration Drill

A drill has been held for several days at Pasuljanske Livade Training Ground and Morava Airfield involving integration of remotely piloted aircraft into a command information system of SAF artillery support forces.

With the support of engineers from the Military Technical Institute, the drill saw the Army and Air Force and Air Defence members examining and demonstrating the capabilities of remotely piloted aircraft and portable reconnaissance assets for target identification and correction of fire projected by artillery units and mortar squads.

The drill has shown the capabilities for gathering information by remotely piloted aircraft, tactical UAVs and thermal-imaging cameras, its presentation in a joint operational image of the battlefield as well as capabilities for controlling fire in real time based on the target information obtained from these modern reconnaissance systems.

Today, accompanied by his closest associates, Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, attended the final exercise activities at Pasuljanske Livade Training Ground. He has praised the units involved in the exercise for demonstrating competence and estimated that the exercise has attained its goals improving additionally the conditions for using the newly introduced arms and military equipment in solving tactical and fire problems in preparation for actions, counteractions and while conducting operations.
