Strengthening Capabilities of 63rd Parachute Brigade with Full Intensity

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, has been at the “Sergeant Pilot Mihajlo Petrović” military airfield in Niš today, where he attended the training of members of the 63rd Parachute Brigade.
On that occasion, he was presented with a new parachute system used by the unit, the American-made RA-1 parachute, which is among the most modern and versatile parachutes in the world. It is intended for performing operational-tactical tasks, as well as training jumps and jumps with additional load.
Afterwards, he followed the training of military paratroopers, from action on an occupied facility to jumps from an H-145 helicopter with a new parachute, with equipment and weapons, after which he informed the unit command staff at a working meeting about the upcoming most important tasks and gave guidelines for the upcoming period.
At the end of the inspection, the Chief of the General Staff expressed his satisfaction with the state of the unit, supreme skills of soldiers and officers, the significant improvement of abilities and the progress that is visible in all segments of life and work. He has pointed out that, within the framework of modernization and further transformation of the Serbian Armed Forces, the strengthening of the capabilities of the 63rd Parachute Brigade and other special units will continue with full intensity — the acquisition of first-class weapons and military equipment, the improvement of training, living and working conditions and the increase in numbers.
On this occasion, from the Niš military airfield, General Mojsilović invited all young men and women who would like to be military paratroopers in this unit, to apply for the competition, which will be opened on June 01, regardless of whether they have performed military service with weapons or not.
The competition will also be open to the 72nd Special Operations Brigade. Citizens of the Republic of Serbia who have a secondary vocational education and meet other requirements of the competition can apply for these special units. Candidates are expected to undergo medical tests, psychological assessment, physical ability check and security check, and then selective training.
