On the basis of the Serbian-Hungarian Bilateral Military Cooperation Plan, a football match between generals and high-ranking officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Defense Forces has been held in Budapest today.
The seventeenth consecutive football match between the two armed forces took place in a friendly atmosphere in the Honved Arena. The result was not in the foreground, and this time sporting luck was on the side of the Hungarian team.
Our team was led by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, and the hosts’ team by Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Hungarian Defense Forces, Lieutenant General Ferenc Kajári.
The delegation of the Serbian Armed Forces was warmly welcomed in Budapest, and the excellent conditions and impeccable organization left an impression of high professionalism and genuine appreciation.
Sporting events between officers of the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Defense Forces have been held since 2015, alternately in Serbia and Hungary, being one of the numerous bilateral activities in the field of defense carried out with the aim of improving operational capabilities and interoperability, as well as strengthening mutual trust and overall relations between the two friendly countries.
