Promotion of the Youngest Non-commissioned Officers

Military ceremony on the occasion of admission to professional military service as a non-commissioned officer and promotion to the rank of sergeant of students of the 48th class of the Secondary Vocational Military School and students of the 18th class of the Basic Course for NCOs was held today at the Memorial Complex "Drugi srpski ustanak" in Takovo.

Today, 110 students of the Basic Course for Non-Commissioned Officers and 33 students of the Secondary Vocational Military School "1300 kaplara" were promoted to the first non-commissioned officer rank. The ceremony was attended by the Minister of Defence, Nebojša Stefanović PhD, Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Petar Cvetković, representatives of the University of Defence, commands and units of the Serbian Armed Forces and local governments.

After reading the order on promotion and granting of stimulative measures, awards were presented to the best student of the 48th class of the Secondary Vocational Military School, Sergeant Andrija Antić and the most successful students of the 18th class of the Basic Course for NCOs — Sergeants Ivana Novaković, Dejan Antić and Aleksandar Veličkovski.

With today's promotion, the Serbian Armed Forces received 143 non-commissioned officers trained to command a group, team and section, who are ready to receive initial non-commissioned officer duties in units, where they will have the opportunity to apply and expand knowledge acquired during education and training.
