Partnership with European Security and Defence College

Thursday, 7.4.2022 | International Co-operation
The Serbian Armed Forces Peacekeeping Operations Centre has become an associate partner — member of the network of the European Security and Defence College, a body embedded in the European External Action Service responsible for training and education in the field of EU Common Security and Defence Policy.

Decision on membership in the college network of this prominent institution was passed at the Steering Board meeting on 25 March, followed by a successful presentation of our centre to the Academic Board of the college in February this year.

Partnership between the Peacekeeping Operations Centre and European Security and Defence College is confirmation of quality preparations and training in the Serbian Armed Forces for deployment in peacekeeping operations. This cooperation will contribute towards larger recognisability of the Centre within European institutions, and it will enable adjustment of training standards and systems to the requirements of EU missions and military operations.

The Peacekeeping Operations Centre is a full member of the European and International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres. It is UN certified for conducting a number of courses on participation in peacekeeping operations.
