Marking the day of the Special Brigade
The Day of the Special Brigade of the Serbian Army, 29 September was marked in the "Rastko Nemanjic" barracks in Pancevo. The celebration was attended by the Commander of the Army Major General Mojsilovic, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the SAF, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the city government, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the family and friends of members of the Brigade, as well as former members of the unit and admirers of the Serbian Army.

The celebration was attended by the Commander of the Army Major General Mojsilovic, representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the SAF, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the city government, the Serbian Orthodox Church, the family and friends of members of the Brigade, as well as former members of the unit and admirers of the Serbian Army.
"Your unit as the only of its kind in the Army and in SAF in general is exceptionally well organized, trained and equipped in carrying out their respective combat, non-combat, intelligence, and security tasks defined by the strategy of defense and military doctrine so they can fully respond and confront all modern security risks and threats,", as Gen. Mojsilovic stated, congratulating the Day of the Brigade to all members of their unit.
"With the quality of your work, your organization and professional performance of your duties, you have achieved significant results. You have demonstrated this not only by performing combat and non-combat tasks, but also with your involvement in multinational missions under the United Nations, through active participation in the exercise of national and international importance, where your capabilities to assist civil authorities in relieving with the consequences of natural disasters when you were the only possible solution at the time", said Mojsilovic, noting that the work of the Special Brigade had directly affected the operational capability of the Army.
Priorities of the Army in the future, according to General Mojsilovic, will be equipping units modeled after infantry soldiers, introduction of new IT equipment, purchase of new opto-electronic means, as well as supplying the brigade with new decontaminants and new engineering equipment.
"The past 12 months were filled with the dynamics inherent in our unit. The Brigade responded to all combat tasks, and training and operational capabilities of declared missions were the top priority, as the commander of the Special Brigade, Brigadier General Ilija Todorov said, pointing out that the crown of the unit in the past year were combined camping where the level of operational capabilities of brigade members were checked.
"The desire to develop our unit into a unit that would be the pride of our armed forces, as a factor of safety and security of our homeland, clearly states that reaching the maximum of our operational capacity is our main goal. Readiness to respond to various challenges and threats is to make this happen in the only way possible – by providing excellent training, strong relationships and a strong military discipline as General Todorov remarked, congratulating members of the Special Brigade their day with a motto" He who dares, wins. He who knows no fear goes forward".
The ceremony was completed by laying of wreaths and bouquets to fallen members of the Special Brigade in the Memorial Room of the unit, and the guests of the ceremony could see the technical-tactical display with devices and equipment used by members of the Brigade in their daily work.
