Some 50 boys and girls aged 6 to 12 from elementary schools all over Serbia who were awarded the second prize in the “Make a drawing-sail on a battle ship” campaign spent a day with the Special Brigade.

The members of “Rastko Nemanjic” barracks in Pancevo also hosted 10 boys and girls from “Miki” kindergarten from Kikinda who got a special prize for their drawings.

The Special Brigade is honored to have you here as you are the authors of the most beautiful drawings on the topic soldier of the future. You pictured special units members, commandos, divers and soldiers. This is why today you will witness part of the training for the commanders of our units and you will also get to see the arms and the vehicles used in our unit. You are our dearest guests and are always welcome. Said Brigadier General Ilija Todorov, welcoming the children and their parents.

The children were first shown a film on the Special Brigade, andf then saw antiterrorist training session as well as the training of commandos. This gave the children a clearer picture of the job of the members of the Special Brigade.

Children asked a lot of questions on about the arms, equipment, vehicles in use in the Special Brigade, and in the end they were treated to a photo shoot. They alos got caps, and T-shirts with SAF emblems.s pecial acknowledgemnts were given to “Sveti Sava” elementary school from Velika Plana, 10 October from Subotica Miki Kindergarten.
11-year old Kristijan Nikodijevic, a fifth grader of “Mitropolit Mihajlo” elementary school liked the anti-terrorist training best. He says he would like to come to the barracks in Pancevo again and to become a soldier.

Dragan Vukovic from Pancevo-based school “Vasa Zivkovic” was amazed at the training in climbing, while Ognjen Tomic, a six-year old from Kikinda was especially pleased with the gifts he received.
All the awarded children will sail on Kozara battle ship on 25 April.
