Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff General Milan Mojsilović has visited the “Nikinci” Weapons and Military Equipment Testing Centre, today.

During the visit, he saw the level of implementation of tasks in this Technical Test Centre unit and attended the Serbian Armed Forces members’ training with the armored combat wheeled vehicle “Lazar 3M” and modernized infantry combat vehicle M-80AB1v2.

On this occasion, he saw the degree of execution of activities during the qualitative reception of “Lazar 3M” armored vehicles, which will soon be accepted for use by the Serbian Armed Forces’ units. These vehicles are armed with a remote-controlled 30 mm combat module intended to act against enemy manpower, fire assets, unarmored and lightly armored equipment, as well as to monitor the environment, do reconnaissance and target recognition, thanks to which they possess greater combat capabilities when compared to similar SAF vehicles.

After the visit, General Mojsilović has expressed his satisfaction with the training quality at the Center, with professional and dedicated engagement of professional staff in performing the tasks of great importance for introducing new weapons, and thus for the operational capability of the Serbian Armed Forces needed to accomplish the assigned missions.

He has estimated that the introduction of new armored vehicles into the armament of the Serbian Armed Forces will significantly improve the ability to carry out attacks on the move and maneuvers, as well as firepower and protection of infantry units on the battlefield.

During the tour, General Mojsilović was accompanied by Head of the Development and Equipment Directorate (J-5), Colonel Stanisav Mijailović, Head of the CHOD’s Office, Colonel Boris Stojković and Director of the Technical Test Centre, Colonel Saša Veselinović, PhD.

The Weapons and Military Equipment Testing Centre “Nikinci” is part of the Technical Test Centre — a military scientific research institution authorized to conduct final, verification and homologation tests of weapons and military equipment and metrological security of the defense system.
