The competition of military police and reconnaissance units of the Serbian Armed Forces, established in 2021, has begun today with the opening ceremony at the “Ribnica” barracks in Kraljevo.

14 teams from the Serbian Armed Forces, two teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and two teams from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska are participating in this year’s competition, organized by the Military Police Directorate of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff.

While carrying out various tasks during the four stages of the competition, the participants will have the opportunity to put into action their training, tactical skills, firepower, psychophysical and mental endurance and team spirit.

In the first two phases, at the “Žiča” firing range, teams compete in firing at different targets in a simulated urban combat environment, while the final two phases are held at the “Beranovac” training ground, where participants compete in overcoming the patrol track and in a team race with natural and artificial obstacles.

The competition was opened by Deputy Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, Lieutenant General Tiosav Janković, who has told the participants that this is a serious test of their readiness, but also an opportunity to improve their personal ability, as well as the ability of the units they represent.

— You are also here to strengthen mutual trust, togetherness and professionalism. I hope you will be quick and precise in the coming days, showing high skills and coordination of the teams, ambition, but also respect for the competing teams. Let the competition be safe, and let the best win in a fair fight. I declare the competition open. Long live Serbia, long live the Serbian Armed Forces — said General Janković.

The annual competition of military police and reconnaissance units ends on Friday, when the winners of individual and team competitions will be pronounced.
