Order of the Serbian Royal Academy presented to General Dikovic

At the Ceremonial Hall of the Cultural Centre in Topola, today, in organization of the Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists (SKANU), a ceremonial session was held, during which acknowledgements were presented to notable individuals and collectives that had given selfless contribution to our community in the past year.

At the Ceremonial Hall of the Cultural Centre in Topola, today, in organization of the Serbian Royal Academy of Scientists and Artists (SKANU), a ceremonial session was held, during which acknowledgements were presented to notable individuals and collectives that had given selfless contribution to our community in the past year.



With SKANU’s unanimous decision, Chief of General Staff General Ljubisa Dikovic was decorated with the Order of Saint Prince for his great contribution to the return of good reputation of our military during the disastrous floods in Serbia. The highest acknowledgment awarded by SKANU was presented to General Dikovic by President of the Scientific Council academic Prof. Dr. Mirko Kerkez.

The SKANU ceremonial session was attended by academics and members, and heir to the throne Djordje Karadjordjevic, clergy, representatives of cultural and education institutions and many guests.



At today’s ceremony, SKANU members handed over the award “Vidovdanski Obelisk” to the Clinical Centre of Serbia, while medals “Danilo Lazovic” were awarded to our renowned actors Misa Janketic, Ljiljana Blagojevic, Miodrag Krivokapic and Aleksandar Bercek. Awards “Kondir majke Jugovica” were presented to mothers of seven and more, while the awards “Vidovdanski virtuoz” were presented to the artists that had marked the period between two St. Vitus Days.

In the course of the festival “Vidovdanska loza”, academics laid wreaths at the Tomb of Vozd Karadjordje and Serbian-Russian soldiers killed in the Great War.
