Regular annual analysis of operational and functional capabilities of the Serbian Armed Forces for 2011 was held today in the House of Guards in Belgrade.

Analysis was also attended by Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, SAF LTG Ljubisa Dikovic and responsible officers of the Ministry of Defense and the Serbian Armed Forces.

In addition to reviewing the security situation in the country and the region, the results achieved in the building and maintaining of operational and functional capabilities of the SAF for the last year, as well as other issues affecting the maintenance and development of the SAF capabilities were considered.

It was assessed that the security situation in Serbia is stable and that the Serbian Army had maintained the previously achieved level of operational and functional abilities with a view of improving the capabilities and interoperability by increasing the number of members of the Army in multinational operations.
