Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Miloš Vučević, accompanied by the Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Training Command in the “Topčider” barracks.

The Commander of the Training Command, Major General Željko Petrović, briefed Minister Vučević on the organisational structure, mission, main tasks and dispositions of this SAF operational command.

At the end of the visit, Minister Vučević said that a well-prepared, planned and conducted training provided a solid basis for the strengthening of any military, including the Serbian Armed Forces.

- Today, I had the opportunity to talk to the officers serving with the Training Command and make sure that all the tasks that the Serbian Armed Forces have included in their documents and plans are being carried out taking into account the challenges and issues that we are supposed to address in the upcoming period by working together.  I believe that the General Staff and the Ministry of Defence, and the entire defence system of the Republic of Serbia will remain focused on the training concept, the preparation of all individual and collective factors in the defence system of our country, making a clear analysis of what we are to do next, how to better staff our military, what the benefits of modern weapons and military equipment are and how to implement that in training provided by the Training Command – said Minister Vučević.

The Minister of Defence also expressed his belief that the members of the Training Command would continue to perform all their tasks successfully.

- I have seen and, after today’s meeting, I am sure that the officers of the Training Command are well-prepared, that they are serious people, professionals, patriots and that they will be able to carry out all their tasks, to address all issues awaiting us, to protect our country, prepare, train the military and all its members in an adequate manner – said Minister Vučević.
