Chief of General Staff Visiting Army Units

Chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, General Milan Mojsilović, visited the Army units in the Raška garrison and garrison towns of Novi Pazar and Požega yesterday and today.

On that occasion, he inspected the organization of life and work, the level of combat readiness of the units and degree of execution of the most important tasks, including the dynamics of infrastructure works on facilities for the accommodation of soldiers.

In a conversation with Army Commander, Major General Zoran Nasković and commanding personnel of the tactical units, they discussed the current security challenges, the filling and development of the units and plans for further improvement of the ability to execute the assigned missions and tasks.

During his stay in this part of the country, General Mojsilović visited the Đurđevi Stupovi Monastery and members of the engineering units who are doing the reconstruction works on macadam roads in the village of Crčevo in the municipality of Sjenica. The reconstruction of these roads ensures the unhindered supply and maneuver of the Serbian Armed Forces’ units and other security forces in this part of the country, helping at the same time the local community to make possible for the smooth life and work of the residents of this region, which is a way for members of the Serbian Armed Forces to show that they are always and everywhere at the service of the citizens.

At the end of the visit, the Chief of the General Staff praised the professional and responsible behavior of members of the Serbian Armed Forces, their skills and high morale, stressing that their skills and unshakable loyalty to their fatherland, Serbia, along with modern weapons we are constantly acquiring, are the best guarantee of peace, stability and freedom.

During the tour, the Chief of the General Staff was accompanied by Army Commander, Major General Zoran Nasković, Head of the Logistics Directorate (J-4), Major General Saša Petrović, and Head of the Human Resources Directorate (J-1), Brigadier General Slađan Hristov.
