In accordance with annual training plans, reconnaissance units from the Army have spent the past few months conducting summer training at locations away from their peacetime bases, with the aim of enhancing their proficiency in executing specialized tasks.

This training encompasses a wide range of field activities—both on land and water—focused on refining the skills essential for reconnaissance personnel to approach safely and effectively a combat area and carry out missions within their assigned AOR.

The reconnaissance units carried out tactical tasks in various environments, practiced techniques for overcoming water obstacles and engaging in hand-to-hand combat, and underwent training in foraging for food in the wild. They also practiced using modern surveillance equipment and systems—recently fielded to reconnaissance units—which have significantly enhanced their capabilities for observation, as well as for the collection and processing of intelligence data.

Activities in this year’s cycle concluded with tactical training in a water environment, during which reconnaissance units practiced operating landing craft and constructing rafts, while also executing various tactical tasks in accordance with a given scenario.

Training for reconnaissance units is conducted throughout the year across diverse terrain and under all conditions in which they might be deployed, ensuring a high level of proficiency and combat readiness for these Serbian Armed Forces units.
