Commander of EUTM Somalia Brigadier General Gerard Aherne has awarded fourteen members of the mission from the main headquarters in Kampala and Bihanga training center, including the chief of the medical service at the headquarters of Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Goran Milojković. The award ceremony was held at the headquarters of the mission in Kampala .

This was the last award ceremony in Uganda, as the mission in the African country in early January of 2014 will be closed and move to Somalia.

General Aherne expressed his gratitude to the members of the Serbian medical team and chief of the medical service at the headquarters for their sacrifice and providing the best possible medical support in the circumstances, adding that the Serbian medical team has been engaged at a time when no member of the European Union, due to the poor security situation, wanted to offer the engagement of a medical team.
