Cooperation in the field of training

At the Military Academy today, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of training between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the General Staff of the Republic of Turkey has been signed.

At the Military Academy today, the Agreement on cooperation in the field of training between the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia and the General Staff of the Republic of Turkey has been signed. The Agreement was signed by the Chief of the Training and Doctrine Department of SAF GS Major General Peter ?ornakov and the Chief of Operations of the Turkish General Staff Lieutenant General Mehmet Eröz.

- This agreement provides a framework for cooperation and the conditions for the establishment of partnership relations where we support each other to our mutual benefit, General ?ornakov said.

- Military agreements are important because they always help improving the relations between two countries, said General Eröz, and added that he was particularly pleased that the cooperation between the two military academies developed.

Agreement on cooperation in the field of training includes visits of military representatives from both armies, education at all levels, professional and practical training at training centres in the signatory countries, exchange of instructors, advisors and mutual assistance in order to improve teaching aids and school materials.

The signing of the agreement was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Serbia Süha Umar, defense attaché of that country Colonel Burhan Akta, Commandant of MA Brigadier General Mladen Vuruna and Dean of MA Colonel Dragoljub Sekulovi? with his associates.
